What I'm Wearing: Jacket: Forever 21, Shirt: H&M, Pants: Forever 21, Shoes: H&M
Hello Everyone, Happy Valentines Day! I can't believe it's already Valentines Day. This is my 3rd Valentines Day themed look that i've done here on mrdombaza.com. It's memorable for me because this is the first time I have legit reason to celebrate the holiday. I wanted to wear an outfit that reflects how I feel. I go back and forth in my head from a James Dean attitude, to a wide eyed boy who's desperately in love. I love classic and modern male film and literature influences. From Jake Ryan in Sixteen Candles to Christian Grey in Fifty Shades of Grey, I'm somewhere in between. I'm so in between that I came up with a James Dean/Michael Jackson "Bad" era outfit.
Let's break it down and talk about love, how love can make you feel, and sharing that love you receive with the world.
This outfit is right up my lane. As a performer this is the kind of outfit you would see me rock on stage. I love leather jackets. There is something about putting on a leather jacket and feeling like a badass. For me I put it on and say, "I got that James Dean daydream look in my eye" and "I got chills... they're multiplying". Anyways, I've always been a fan of a great fitted leather jacket. A leather jacket and me go hand in hand, it's a staple of my wardrobe and my personality. Obviously when I feel like I'm falling in love I'm gonna bring out my James Dean side and rock a good leather jacket. I paired the jacket with a simple maroon button dress shirt. I've done a red look and a pink look for Valentines day, so I wanted this years outfit to be settle with an edge. Maroon is a color staple for fall and winter. It's the perfect darker color for a Valentines day look, it works well with the whole vibe i'm going for here. I paired up the top portion of this look with some black skinny fit pants from Forever 21. I felt that the maroon along with the location of the shoot would be enough to bring out the V'day feeling, so that's why I went with black. Black matches anything, including Valentines Day attire. I'm not a fan of baggy pants, the more fitted the better. These pants here are exactly what I wanted and needed for this outfit and shoot. Lastly, I am wearing some kicks from H&M. I was in a rush to find some shoes and I knew H&M would have what I'm looking for. I love the suede on the shoes. I like the softness of it because every dark thing has to have light to even it out. For me the suede is the thing that evens out the dark black of the shoes and gives it a softer side. The shoes has this heel on the back that made me stand taller and truly feel like I was a rebel without a cause. I hope you guys like this years Valentines Day outfit. Please let me know what you think of this outfit in the comments below. I would love to know what you think! My next fashion related post will be up next month, but my first ever post in "Through My Eyes and Ears" will be up at the end of the month.
I titled this post "The Way You Make Me Feel" because this outfit and location is honestly how I feel. Do you get what I mean? I feel like I'm a prince or princess in a Disney classic living with an edge of Danny Zuko, a touch of Christian Grey ( a little of Ana too) , A flare of Elvis, and the passion of Michael Jackson. Loving me is like loving a bit of everything. I genuinely have love for basically everything. Life and love is a rollercoaster. We fight with our partners and we make up. Because we know that time apart isn't true to who we both are. As we head into Valentines Day I celebrate being happy. I celebrate love and I celebrate being in love and the feeling of love in general. But I also celebrate the people not in a relationship. The people who aren't in love and just love life and don't need a relationship to define this holiday we celebrate every year. You don't have to be in love to celebrate a day about love. Go out there and spread love to the world. Be the beating heart for the ones who need love. I was once like that, but even now being in love I still feel that way, I still want to share love with the world. I never knew what it felt like to really celebrate Valentines day until now, I like this feeling. I like the way it feels. I feel like I have 10x more love to share with the world with all the love I am receiving. I can't really sum it up and describe it. But as MJ said, I never felt so in love before, just promise baby, you'll love me forevermore. If you do love me forevermore, I can't wait to inspire the world and share and spread the love I am receiving with everyone.
Happy Valentines Day my lovely readers.
Be safe and celebrate love.

Hello Everyone! I hope this passed week has been a great one for all of you. Thank you so much for all the kind words you have given me, as we continue to celebrate 3 years of mrdombaza.com all month long. Time surely does fly! Can you believe it's already the 2nd week of February? I'm trying to stay in the moment more and cherish the time i'm given. But as I said in last month's final post, I feel as if time is going by too fast. I guess I just have to live in the moment and cherish what I can right? I was lucky that Jord Wood Watches reached out to me to partner up and showcase one of their beautiful watches from their winter collection. I'm going to break this blog up into sections as usual, but first lets talk about Jord!
I was so honored when Jord reached out to me to team up and create a post around their Dover Olive & Acacia watch. I've always wanted to team up with an amazing watch company, I'm lucky that my first partnership is with Jord. If you don't know about Jord, heres a few things you should know from my perspective. Jord creates beautiful and modern time pieces for men and woman. When I first put on my watch from Jord I atomically felt I had the power to control the time I felt was slipping through my fingers. I've been saying this a lot since the year started, time is going by too fast. When I think of Jord, I think about what I said earlier, I've gotta cherish the time I'm given daily. Jord's motto is something similar to that, "Moments are bigger than minutes and your watch should tell more than that". I feel as if watches from Jord tell more than time. If you look at the details of the watch closely, you'll see someones design, effort, passion, and time that was put in to making a beautiful watch like the Dover Olive & Acacia. When I think of all that, I think of life. We design our own life, we work hard to pursue our passion, and we put in the time and effort. A timepiece should reflect that. It should reflect our lives in classic yet modern way. A watch from Jord does just that. Time is precious, life is fragile, make the moments bigger than the seconds, minutes, and hours on a clock. Let your watch reflect how precious time means to you. If you want a Jord watch of your very own, I'm pleased to tell you all I'm having my first GIVEAWAY. By clicking the link below this post, you can enter to win a $100 gift card to Jord. Even if you don't win, Jord is generous enough to give you $25 store credit just for entering. Isn't that a win/win? Enter to win my giveaway before February 28,2017. It's a great chance for you to win a timepiece like the Dover Olive & Acacia watch I received.
When thinking about this outfit and building it around this special watch, I wanted this shoot to not only reflect the watch, but reflect my own personal winter style. We are in the middle of a storm here in California. I was lucky enough to shoot this whole look on a day where things settled down for a few hours. Green and brown is one of my favorite combinations of colors. Knowing that this beautiful wood watch had to be paired with an equally deserving outfit, I automatically thought of a green and brown combo from top to bottom. To top off this outfit I'm wearing an olive green fedora from Urban Outfitters. I have a thing for hats, you all should know that by now. I thought it was fitting for this outfit to have a hat tie it all together. I'm lucky green is my favorite color, because It made it so much easier to fall in love with this green Calvin Klein sweater. I love CK, i'm a HUGE CK fan. When I found this sweater I knew it was one of the missing pieces to complete this outfit. From there I had a pretty easy time styling the rest of the outfit. Underneath the sweater, my button dress shirt was the perfect match for the sweater and the watch. If you look closely you'll see the collar of the shirt has A branch design. It's a little nod to the wood of the watch I'm wearing. I like little details like that because it adds a little flavor to make outfits like this pop more. I wasn't about to walk around SF wearing 2 layers, I would freeze to death if I did that. I found this coat at Macy's made by INC. I thought the gray color was the perfect way to add another flavor to this outfit. Not only is the coat very warm and fitting, it compliments the watch. I've said it before and i'll say it again, Ralph Lauren is such an american staple. To honor this great nation where Jord watches are made, I chose to wear a classic pair of pants and olive green socks from US Polo. For me it's the little colors and details that can make an outfit like this really stand out. Lastly, my shoes are from Giorgio Brutini. The design of the shoes compliments the watch and overall look. It is the perfect final piece to complete an outfit like this. From the color of the pants to the color of the socks, it all reconnects with the top portion of this outfit and of course the watch. When I create different combinations and outfits I think of it like a rotating clock. You can try many different colors and styles but you will always end up right at the start just like a clock resets every 24 hours.
I hope you guys like the premise of this shoot and outfit. I had so much fun spending the whole day in SF with my Jord watch creating new memories with this beautiful timepiece. I want to thank Jord for giving me the opportunity to wear one of their beautiful watches with my very own style. I hope you guys enter my giveaway below this post.
